WMAF couple runs racist Asian restaurant called “Hotel Long Time”

I am most disappointed to say that this is happening all over again. How many times have we written, read and discussed why naming a restaurant/bar/hotel after racist tropes and slurs is just not okay? I mean how hard is it to comprehend? Usually it is non Asian owners doing stupid shit like this thinking that by poking fun at the “perceived” Asian accent and using racial tropes for shits and gigs is respecting the culture and traditions. But this time I am most ashamed and disappointed to report that this particular case is owned by an Asian Australian. And she really does not see that the name of her gastropub/hotel is wrong on every level.

The gastropub is called “HOTEL LONGTIME” and it is based in Adelaide, South Australia. And yes it is themed around this racial stereotype. It not only is racist but it is misogynistic and perpetuates further fetishisation of Asian women. To add fuel to the fire the gastropub is themed around this racist trope and has added a “PING PONG CLUB ROOM”, which the owners describe as a “gentlemen’s lodge”. Mmmhmm this is what we are playing with. If you have been hiding under the rock, this Asian-themed gastropub is based on the extremely racist Kubrick movie Full Metal Jacket: “Me so horny, me love you long time”This line has been made famous by sick non Asian men and has been used to devalue, fetishsise, objectify and belittle Asian women. In the movie it was uttered by a young Vietnamese prostitute to American soldiers set during the Vietnam War.

The gastropub is owned by Vietnamese Australian TIN CHU and her partner ALEX FAHEY. Chu is claiming ignorance on the whole thing and is playing victim stating that it is impacting on her business this controversy. She also claims she had no clue on the origins of the “LONGTIME” usage as well as the history behind this racial trope. My opinion? I call foul on this. This is what she told Adelaide Now:

Australian Pub Embroiled In Controversy Over Its Name “HOTEL LONGTIME” And Its Theme

White nationalist Matthew Heimbach charged with assaulting wife, top spokesman over affair

White nationalist Matthew Heimbach was arrested this week for assaulting his wife and her stepfather, who also happened to be his hate group’s chief spokesman.

The bizarre incident began after the pair confronted Heimbach about his months-long affair with the wife of the spokesman, Matthew Parrott, according to charging documents.

The arrest report, obtained by the Southern Poverty Law Center, also said Heimbach hurt his wife by “grabbing her face” and made her cheeks bleed.

Heimbach was charged in Orange County, Ind., with one count of battery, another for domestic battery, strangulation and intimidation. He made $1,000 bail after being arrested in Paoli, the IndyStar reports.

Heimbach leads the Traditionalist Worker Party, which SPLC has branded a hate group, and he helped organize the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Va., last year.

The fracas began when Heimbach’s wife Brooke first confronted him about his affair with Jessica Parrott, her stepdad’s wife.

Heimbach has previously said the three-month fling was over, but Matthew Parrott and his wife decided to test his will, the charging documents claim.

They set up Heimbach to see if he’d try and sleep with Jessica Parrott, which he did Monday night inside his trailer, which is on Parrott’s property.

Matthew Parrott, who was watching from afar, ran into the trailer to confront the pair.

He poked Heimbach in the chest, at which point the white nationalist leader twisted Parrott’s hand — then allegedly choked him from behind.

“I fell on the floor and I escaped the trailer to return to my house,” Parrott wrote in an affidavit.

Heimbach followed Parrott into the house. Parrot threw a chair at Heimbach to defend himself, but Heimbach started strangling Parrott until he briefly lost consciousness, the arrest report claims.

When Parrott came to, he heard his wife telling Heimbach that Brooke had a cellphone recording that confirmed their affair.

Parrott grabbed his other daughter and took off, calling cops from a Walmart parking lot in Paoli, the arrest warrant says.

The responding officer then went to Heimbach’s trailer, where he and Brooke were putting their kids to sleep.

Heimbach tended to the children and told Brooke, whose name is redacted from the documents, to “send the police away and tell them everything was fine.”

The officer heard a scuffle and ran into the home — finding a “visibly upset” Brooke clutching one of her children, according to the arrest documents.

Brooke, who made a recording of Heimbach’s demands, later wrote in an affidavit that he “kicked the wall” when she refused to shoo away the cops.

“He then grabbed my face and threw me onto the bed,” she wrote. “My cheeks bled a little.”

Heimbach was arrested when the officer rushed in.

This isn’t his first run-in with the law.

He gained notoriety for assaulting a black protester at a Louisville, Ky., campaign rally for President Trump in 2016.

Heimbach, who moved to Paoli after becoming friends with Parrott online, pleaded guilty in July 2017 to disorderly conduct and was sentenced to 90 days in jail.

His jail sentence was suspended so long as he stays out of trouble for two years, according to the SPLC.

Parrott indicated he’d left the Traditionalist Worker Party when contacted by the group.

“I’m done. I’m out,” he told the organization. “SPLC has won. Matt Parrott is out of the game. Y’all have a nice life.”

The exploitation that gets no attention: abuse of male slaves by female slave-owners in the Antebellum South

There is ample evidence of sexual relations, from rapes to what appear to be relatively symbiotic romantic partnerships, between white slave masters and black women in the Antebellum South. Much rarer were sexual relations between white women and black slave men, yet they too occurred. Using an intersectional socio-historical analysis, this paper explores the factors that contributed or may have contributed to the incidence of sexual encounters between elite white women and slave men, the dynamics embedded in them, and their implications in terms of sexual consent. The paper demonstrates how upper-class white women who engaged in these relationships used sex as an instrument of power, simultaneously perpetuating both white supremacy and patriarchy.

University removes poster of Planned Parenthood’s racist founder after students complain

COLUMBIA, Missouri, March 9, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – The University of Missouri removed a portrait of Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger, an avowed racist, from its library after pro-life students protested.

Mizzou Students for Life (MSFL) formally requested Ellis Library remove Sanger’s portrait – which was next to civil rights champion Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s – because of her well-documented racism and desire to reduce the black population.

In this letter, MSFL said it was passing around a petition, alerting the national media, and contacting King’s pro-life activist niece, Dr. Alveda King.

Originally, library officials said they were going to remove the poster at their “next review.” But they ended up taking the picture down immediately.

“We applaud the library for removing the poster and no longer celebrating Margaret Sanger and her eugenicist views,” MSFL President Kristen Wood said. “The university should never be celebrating and promoting someone who publicly opposed people in poverty and racial minorities…having children, and someone who supported putting people on birth control to prevent them from having children.”

The MSFL petition cited a few of Sanger’s blatantly racist statements, arguing those necessitated taking the portrait down. The students used it as an opportunity to educate their peers about Planned Parenthood and Sanger’s shady pasts.

“If the picture comes down then it opens a conversation about her racist, eugenic views,” said Ceci Haberdash of MSFL. “People deserve to know the truth.”

Taking a similar stand in 2015 were a group of black pastors who wrote Smithsonian Museum officials, demanding they take down a bust of Sanger in their “Struggle for Justice” exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery.

Sanger: It’s ‘merciful’ to kill infants from large families

Through contraception, Sanger sought to weed out “defectives” in a vision to “create a race of thoroughbreds.” The Planned Parenthood founder believed that large families should kill their infants.

“The most merciful thing that the large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it,” she wrote.

A member of the American Eugenics Society, Sanger championed forced sterilization and proposed a law requiring state approval for any pregnancies: “No woman shall have the legal right to bear a child, and no man shall have the right to become a father, without a permit for parenthood.”

Sanger taught that contraception must not “indiscriminately” distributed, but directed toward certain groups she saw as inferior. She wanted the government to put birth control in the drinking water of urban areas with large minority groups.

In 1921, she said that birth control “means the release and cultivation of the better racial elements in our society, and the gradual suppression, elimination and eventual extirpation of defective stocks — those human weeds which threaten the blooming of the finest flowers of American civilization.”

In a eugenics campaign called “The Negro Project,” Sanger enlisted black ministers to help her convince minority women to stop reproducing. She once even spoke to the women of the Ku Klux Klan.

Sanger filled her organization with others of like mind, including Nazi sympathizers.

In addition to African-Americans, Sanger targeted those with disabilities and those in prison. Even among healthy citizens, she opposed what she called the “overbreeding among the working class.”

Planned Parenthood student group admits Sanger was racist

One Planned Parenthood group admits its own “racist roots.”

Last week, the University of Florida’s pro-Planned Parenthood group led a panel discussion on that very subject. Along with the Black Student Union, the university’s Planned Parenthood Generation Action group hosted “a panel discussion on the racist roots of Planned Parenthood.”

Students for Life America President Kristan Hawkins said Planned Parenthood continues Sanger’s bigoted legacy.

“The racist practices of Planned Parenthood continue to this day,” she commented.  “Planned Parenthood continues to target black and Hispanic babies for abortion by the placement of their abortion vendor locations in minority neighborhoods.”

The abortion behemoth recently built 25 “mega-centers” largely in minority areas. Of the “mega-centers,” 88 percent target women of color.

Despite claiming that “Black Lives Matter,” Planned Parenthood has joined with the ACLU to fight in federal appeals court for the right to commit abortions based on the baby’s race, sex, or possible disability.

Planned Parenthood receives nearly half a billion dollars from the U.S. government annually.

MSFL thanked the Ellis library for taking Sanger’s portrait down. The students also warned library managers that if they put the Sanger portrait back, they will resume their protests.

Man who murdered 3 in Napa veterans hospital was raised by WMAF.

The former legal guardians of the gunman who took three women hostage at a Yountville veterans facility expressed shock and sadness upon learning his involvement in the deadly hostage situation.

Cissy and Matthew Sherr, of Milbrae, said they knew 36-year-old Albert Wong for 30 years.

Wong and three hostages were found dead inside a Napa County veterans home Friday night after an 8-hour standoff, officials said.

Law enforcement entered a room in the Veterans Home of California in the evening and found the bodies of three women and the gunman.

The three women worked with the nonprofit organization Pathway Home treatment program, which is housed on the Veterans Home campus, near Highway 29. The victims were identified as Executive Director Christine Loeber, 48; Clinical Director Dr. Jen Golick, 42; and Clinical Psychologist Dr. Jennifer Gonzales, 29, by the Napa County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office.

Cissy Sherr said her mother came to know Wong and his father through an after school program about 30 years ago.

Matthew Sherr said Wong’s father later died of cancer.

Due to her own illness, Wong’s mother was unable to care for him, they said.

“We were a young couple and had a nice home [and took him in],” Matthew Sherr said.

“His relatives lived in Southern California. Nobody really stepped forward to take him,” Cissy Sherr said. “So, we took him. He was eight by then.”

The Sherrs said Wong was military-focused from a young age knew he wanted to serve his country when he was older.

He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve from October 1998 to December 2002, and was on active duty from May 2010 to August 2013.

He was deployed to Afghanistan from April 2011 to March 2012.

Wong served in the Army as an infantryman with a rank of specialist E4, according to military records. He received numerous medals, including the Army Commendation Medal and the Army Good Conduct Medal.

Upon his return from Afghanistan, Cissy Sherr said it was clear his service had taken a toll on him.

“He told me a lot of stories. We would stay up for hours, and you could tell that he was kind of trying to get it all out,” Cissy Sherr said. “For the first week, he would sit on the sofa, just staring, saying ‘I can’t believe I’m in a safe place.’”

Cissy Sherr said Wong knew he needed help, and he sought it.

“One of the last long messages he wrote me was that he was involved in the [Pathway Home] program,” Cissy Sherr said. “He sounded so hopeful that he was getting help there. That there was a live-in component of it, because he knew that his living situation was difficult.”

A spokeswoman for the Sacramento Police Department told KCRA 3 Saturday that a CHP SWAT team served a search warrant in the 4000 block of Innovator Drive in Natomas late Friday night related to the Yountville incident.

CHP would not confirm any activity in Sacramento.

WMAF issues: Racist White Guy Goes Berserk When German Girl Won’t Leave Her Asian BF for Him

Canada-based Reddit user UmaiUmamiUnagi shared the obnoxious exchange with the racist guy via the subreddit creepyPMs, which was later reuploaded by user effortlessnetinho on the subreddit hapas (hapa being the term for a person of mixed ethnic heritage).

The text messages, which seemed to begin innocently enough with a “movie night” invitation with “friends,” soon escalated quickly into a barrage of creepily obsessive pronouncements in just a few exchanges.

“I’ve liked you since we met first year,” admitted the guy, followed by, “(Why) can’t you just give me a shot to show you how good I can love you?”

The woman replied that she wanted to speak to him at a public place in order to “have an adult conversation” about it. Not being able to take the hint, the guy pushes his intentions, finally asking who the girl was seeing at the time.

When the woman mentioned her boyfriend’s name, he flipped out even more. Having had enough, the girl tried to end the conversation by asking him to leave them alone and not to speak with her again.

That was when he went all out ballistic:

He even sent some more ignorant texts to the boyfriend:

UmaiUmamiUnagi added that the racist bigot “didn’t really interact with many women who he didn’t consider ‘worthy’.”

In the same thread, she narrated a story of how he acted around a non-white girl.

“We had a lovely black friend who is still very important to me, and he constantly talked down to her, or ignored her, or even treated her like ‘help’ always asking her to go get things. She did too, she was a year younger and it took a while for us to tell her that she wasn’t being hazed, and to stop being nice to him.”

In the end, UmaiUmamiUnagi said she informed the school about the threats and fortunately, the administration took action.

“I was put in different classes than him and he was told that he was placed on a ‘school restraining order’ That any contact with me would result in him being suspended and enough contact or any violence or escalation with the situation would have him expelled for the year.”

More WMAF Fun: Asian woman asks about Jewish boyfriend’s past 2 arrests. He proceeds to go on a racist rant, calls her dad “Viet cong”, tells him to “eat shit”, says Asians are “weird and crazy” etc. Worst thing? He already has a kid with another Viet woman…

TL; DR: Asked the guy I’ve been seeing for 2 months about his past arrest records, did I cross a boundary too soon?
I decided to give Brian an opportunity to explain each charge via phone/text as I did not quite feel safe doing it face to face. After weeks of him getting angry after every time I asked for more details or clarity, he told me that the charges against him were dropped or that he was proven innocent in court.
He wanted to see me yesterday to talk about it face to face, but I had to be honest with him and let him know that because of the way we were communicating (him verbally assaulting me and me shutting down) I felt that we needed a couples counselor/mediator. Brian flipped out citing that we weren’t technically a couple and demanded that I pick him up (he doesn’t drive) to talk. I refused and he finally agreed to counseling. I told him that I would meet him at amutual place and he verbally assaulted me again saying that he couldn’t get an uber because he didn’t have cellular service. Some examples of what he said are listed, I did not respond to his texts until the last one:
  1. Calling me an asshole and evil.
  2. Calling me a loser.
  3. Telling me to get a life instead of inviting people to my mental illness parties.
  4. Making fun of the fact that I was a virgin when we met. He cited a couple of “stupid” questions I had asked that more experienced girls would have known.
  5. Sent me screenshots of him talking to another girl on Tinder.
  6. Calling my father Viet Cong, to tell him to eat shit, that all Asians are weird and crazy. Not relevant, but he’s Jewish (I’m Vietnamese and he’s Caucasian). His child is also half Vietnamese (currently living with her mother, thank goodness).
The last one triggered a regretful response from me as I had been silent on the other remarks and my dad is pretty much my hero (and refugee). I replied that his mother (who had passed away 10 years ago) did a shitty job raising him and that I felt sorry for her legacy. Then I blocked him.
TL;DR: I blocked him after I had enough of the way he was talking to me and I regretfully disrespected his mother who passed away. Lesson learned: Innocent until proven guilty, but if there are flags…Run. And don’t bring mothers into it, be the bigger person. Edit: I also am going to counseling, to work on me.
