Some matches are made in heaven, and some matches are made in hell. Planned Parenthood teaming with literal satanists in Missouri to promote the death cult of abortion represents the latter.
Though Missouri has long been at the forefront of rolling back abortion, knocking the institution down to just one clinic in recent years, a new article in Slate announced (quite proudly, mind you) that satanists in concert with abortion conglomerate Planned Parenthood have helped to roll that back.
“Abortion access in Missouri is booming,” the article states. “On Monday, [Planned Parenthood] announced that its clinic in Kansas City is now offering medication abortion. Its Columbia outpost will soon offer surgical abortions, too, and two others will likely follow.”
For the first time ever, the faithful really can point the blame at Satan for this gross display of inhumanity and avoid the label “superstitious,” because it turns out that Satan literally did play a hand in this through the help of his loyal agents in The Satanic Temple.
Thanks to judicial fiat, the only avenue in which leftists can ever achieve victory, Missouri’s law mandating that abortion providers get “admitting privileges at nearby hospitals and retrofit their facilities to meet surgical center standards” was rolled back by a federal judge in April, thus paving the way for multiple clinics to open up shop. The crushing blow has offered The Satanic Temple a window of opportunity to attack two other anti-abortion provisions in the state: one requiring women to read anti-abortion pamphlets and another requiring them to wait 72 hours between their initial consultations and a second appointment before the abortion can commence.
The Satanic Temple argued in a Missouri court this past Monday that the two laws violate their religious beliefs, because apparently their religion “prizes rational, independent thought” which would be supplanted if they were forced to read anti-abortion pamphlets and “consider a religious proposition with which they do not agree” during the 72-hour waiting period.
In a statement, Satanic Temple spokesperson Jex Blackmore described the story of how one of their adherents named “Mary Doe” entered a Planned Parenthood clinic in 2015 and had her religious beliefs violated by having to read the pamphlets.
“One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone,” the Temple states. “Beliefs should conform to our best scientific understanding of the world. We should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit our beliefs.”
The Temple also cited the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which required the state to have a compelling interest to violate someone’s religious beliefs before doing so, as precedent.
“However, the State is permitted to burden Mary’s free exercise of religion if they have a compelling interest to do so and are using the least restrictive means possible,” they continued. “Even if the State claims they have a compelling interest in preserving ‘unborn life,’ the burdens are certainly not the least restrictive means possible. In fact, studies show that mandated waiting periods and informed consent materials have very little impact on birth and abortion rates.”
Missouri argues that the laws, though they may align with certain faiths, do not force people to participate in a particular religious practice.
Leftists have openly cheered the fact that Satanists – worshippers of evil itself – have been sticking it to pro-lifers and advancing the cause of child sacrifice. They no longer hide the fact, and now openly flaunt it.
